Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

I was lucky enough to find a Couchsurfing host in KL for a couple of nights. Anthony was from the Philipinnes, and living and working in Petaling Jaya. I got a bus from Penang through easybook.com for roughly 40 ringgit. I arrived at TBS and caught the MRT from there to Asia Jaya station, where it was only a short walk to Anthonys apartment.

Anthony was busy working during the day, so I made plans to visit the Batu Caves with Jin and Synne and another Nowegian guy. We grabbed lunch aftwerwards, and then split up; I went to see the national mosque and KL tower, which had views of the Petronas Towers and the city.

That night I met up with Anthony again and we caught an Uber to Bukit Bintang, where we met his friends from the Philipinnes for dinner in Jalan Alor Food Street.

The day after I decided to move to Bukit Bintang. I moved to Sunshine Bedz where Jin and Synne had been staying (though they were leaving that day). The three of us caught the bus to Petronas Towers to see what all the fuss was about, and it was pretty cool!

I spent a couple more days in KL at Sunshine Bedz. On Sunday night (2nd April), my half Chinese-Malay cousin Loz was in KL for work. The two of us met up and went for dinner with her Malaysian extended family. It was the first time for me meeting them but they were all really friendly so we had a good night with delicious food!
